This intensive hands on course is designed to prepare students for a professional career in interior design and decoration. Students are expected to be creative and should have the capacity to draw or learn how to draw as the course is mainly a design course.

The emphasis of this course is to create a versatile interior designer who can decorate and lay the foundation necessary to practice interior design.
Our certification provides a wealth of different career opportunities. Students may go on to work with an interior design and/or decoration practice or in a showroom and, after obtaining appropriate experience, graduates may ultimately work as freelance interior designers and decorators, operating on a project basis for residential, corporate, retail, educational or commercial projects or they may specialise in decorating show houses, flats for property developers, become interior stylists, property refurbishers or perhaps even use their skills to enter into journalism.

This course is designed to provide students with the knowledge, qualification and confidence that they require to start up their own practice, work in employment at a decoration company or alternatively, offer them a pathway to further study

This course is designed for individuals who wish to or are involved with the architectural, interior design and engineering design fields and for those interested in computer aided design. Students will be introduced to both traditional and computer aided drafting skills.
